Backing Causes That Matter: PSP’s Ongoing Support for Charitable Events
At PSP, supporting communities and causes close to our team’s hearts has always been part of who we are. This year, we’ve taken part in a range of charity events that not only raise vital funds but also bring people together to do some real good.
These events are more than calendar entries, they’re a chance to back organisations making a genuine difference, and to stand alongside others in our industry who care just as much. Here's a look at some of the brilliant initiatives we've been proud to be part of in recent months.
Help Harry Help Others – Charity Golf Day
We were proud to support this year’s Help Harry Help Others Charity Golf Day - one of the charity’s biggest annual fundraisers. Held on 8 July 2025 at the Forest of Arden Golf Club, the event brings together businesses and supporters for a day of golf, fundraising, and community spirit.
PSP has supported HHHO for over ten years, and it’s a cause that’s incredibly close to our hearts. Events like this are vital to helping HHHO continue their frontline work, providing counselling, wellbeing services, and practical assistance to families affected by cancer at their Drop-in Cancer Support Centre in Birmingham.
Sticky Wicket – Cricket for Lord’s Taverners
On 4 July 2025, members of our Exhibitions team headed to Regent’s Park, London, to take part in Sticky Wicket - an industry cricket day supporting the Lord’s Taverners.
While we may not have brought home a trophy (yet!), taking part has always been the real win. The event raises funds for the Lord’s Taverners’ community cricket programmes which use sport to empower young people facing challenges such as disability, disadvantage, or social exclusion. These free weekly sessions help build confidence, friendships, and vital life skills through the power of cricket.
Flow Go Karting – Supporting Prostate Cancer UK
In June, Trudy, Ed, and Kat joined Flow Design & Build at their annual charity Go Karting event, raising money and awareness for Prostate Cancer UK. Held at TeamSport Birmingham, the event brought together teams from across the construction and events sectors for a fast-paced afternoon of friendly competition.
PSP Team members have supported Movember for several years, so it’s always great to continue backing this important cause. Events like this help raise awareness of prostate cancer and men’s health more broadly - encouraging early detection and open conversations, which can save lives.
Flow distributed free prostate screening kits, encouraging attendees to take a proactive approach to men’s health and share the kits with friends or family. The event raised funds through entry fees and JustGiving donations, supporting Prostate Cancer UK’s ongoing research, outreach, and early detection efforts.
Why These Events Matter to PSP
Our support for charity events isn’t just about showing up on the day, it reflects a wider commitment to building stronger communities through action, not words. Whether we’re donating equipment, sponsoring teams, or volunteering time, we choose to work with partners whose values align with our own.
PSP is committed to social responsibility through community engagement and staff-led volunteering. Participating in events like these allows us to combine our people’s passion with our professional capabilities, helping extend the impact of these causes while fostering a culture of giving across our team.
We’d like to thank all the brilliant organisations behind these events - Help Harry Help Others, Lord’s Taverners, and Flow Design & Build - for the work they do, and for welcoming us to be part of it.
