SXSW
In June 2025, Shoreditch hosted the first ever SXSW London, marking the UK debut of one of the most iconic creative festivals in the world. Spread across more than 25 venues, the event brought together music, film, and tech across hundreds of sessions and installations.
PSP were proud to support TAIT with technical production and AV delivery across the Truman Campus, including the main theatre spaces in Truman Brewery, Brick Lane Yard, and several lounges and breakout zones. With over 1,000 speakers, 450+ sessions, and an ambitious production schedule, this was one of the largest multi-venue projects we’ve been part of to date.
Across the main theatres, we provided full AV systems video control, cameras, LED, lighting, and sound. In early 2025, PSP expanded its inventory with the addition of ROE Topaz 2.6mm LED panels. These high-resolution displays were extensively used across theatre spaces. They performed brilliantly throughout, delivering crisp visuals for keynotes, panels, and film screenings across all three plenary areas.
At Brick Lane Yard, we installed a 60-panel ROE Black Quartz 3.9mm LED screen for outdoor viewing. This displayed a mix of curated content and live feeds from the plenary theatres, supported by lighting and a compact PA setup. The screen was active throughout the festival and became a central hub for audiences to gather and watch sessions in the open air.
Beyond the headline spaces, we also supported AV for the Speakers Lounge, Connection Lounge, interview zones, and the Media Centre. In total, we deployed 168 LED panels, over 1,200m of cabling, and around 250 lighting fixtures. Everything from uplighters to battens, moving heads to architectural floods spread across multiple zones and formats.
One of the standout moments for us was working on Damien Roach’s Grounding exhibition an immersive, AV-led art installation exploring landscape, AI, and quantum physics. We collaborated closely with Damien and TAIT to design a custom LED rig using eight ROE Topaz screens, along with audio and lighting. The result was a stunning, meditative experience that drew a lot of attention including a visit from the King himself.
The event was delivered by a great team of around 90 crew covering everything from rigging and show ops to media, lighting, and LED. Our project managers and on-site leads worked closely across all areas to keep everything on track, supported by an excellent LED HOD who oversaw the large-scale screen setups across multiple venues. It was a fast moving and high-pressure environment, but the collaboration and commitment from everyone involved made it a real success and something we’re genuinely proud of.
