PSP Retains ESSA Sustainability Accreditation at Tier 5

We are delighted to share that PSP has once again been awarded ESSA Sustainability Accreditation at Tier 5, the highest level achievable, following our latest assessment conducted on 9 June 2026. We scored 95 out of 100, reflecting the continued dedication of our entire team to embedding sustainable practices across every aspect of our business.

The ESSA Sustainability Accreditation, awarded by the Event Supplier and Services Association, independently verifies a company's commitment to sustainability across a broad range of environmental, social and governance criteria. Tier 5 is reserved for companies scoring 90 points or above, and we are proud to have retained our place at that level.

This year's assessment covered twelve areas of our operations, and we are particularly proud to have achieved full marks across Sustainability Policy, Sustainability Action Plan, Sustainability Awareness, Modern Slavery, Equality and Diversity, Fossil Fuel Reduction, Community Support, Staff Engagement, Sustainable Procurement and Waste Management.

Some of the highlights from our 2026 assessment include:

We procure 100% renewable electricity, backed by a REGO-certified British Gas Renewable Electricity Certificate. Against our formal 5% energy reduction target, we reduced electricity consumption by 5.66% and gas by 9.76% in 2024 to 2025. We have exceeded our waste diversion target, with 57.1% of waste now diverted from landfill year-to-date in 2026. We have offset 100% of our 2024 core operations emissions (119 tCO2e) through the Gold Standard certified CTL Landfill Gas Project, alongside planting 119 UK trees. Our logistics partner FCL Event Logistics operates a Euro 6/6.5 low-emission fleet.  Our staff volunteering, charitable giving and community partnerships continue to grow, including our ongoing work with organisations such as LoveBrum, Dementia UK, Hope for Tomorrow and many others.

Sustainability at PSP is not a box-ticking exercise. It is embedded in our ESG Action Plan, championed by our cross-departmental Sustainability Focus Group, and driven by the commitment of every member of our team. We remain focused on the work still ahead, including progressing our carbon footprint reporting into a third year, exploring renewable energy generation at our next premises review, and continuing to deepen our Scope 3 emissions action.

We would like to thank ESSA and the assessors for their thorough and rigorous process, and most importantly, thank every member of the PSP team whose efforts make results like this possible.
