Event: Capital Radio Awards

Venue:Royal Lancaster Hotel

Brief: Supply all technical elements and project management for one of the capital's biggest music awards ceremonies. Design a set 60ft wide, deal with the low ceiling height of the room making projection impossible.

Solution: A printed backdrop spanned the width of the room, plasmas were used extensivley throughout. A Nexo audio system was used for sound plus a three camera PPU and Betacam and Dvcam playback facility. The event had a two day build and a crew of thirty. LED lighting was used extensively to provide set colour changes during the awards.All the top names in music were in attendance. .Lemar, Natasha Bedingfield, Jamelia, Joss Stone, Keane, Mariah Carey and Sir Bob Geldof all picked up awards. The evening was hosted by Foxy with Johnny Vaughan also presentng an award.
